This is a network that I setup for my friends to be able to connect to the Internet when they’re near my apartment, but still protect myself from potential issues of having an open network. The router is connected via a VPN provider to another country and all traffic routes through that end point. To most people, they won’t even notice this… However, it does add a little bit of latency to the overall connection.
If you’re used to using public hotspots, then this will be no different than one at Starbucks, but mine may still be faster because there aren’t that many people on it. 🙂
